Can't decide what to do next

I've got a small amount of money together to splash on something for the V70 but I just can't decide what to do next!

The car's pretty stock mechanically but looks the dogs on the outside but just doesn't have the power to match the looks.

I'm very tempted to get the windows tinted but as I've said loads of times, she's slow!!

What should I do people?? My budget is £200 or so for bits for now and you can see my current mods in the Garage.

The remap will transform the car mate, not just the power but the "feel" of the car will change and the fifty quid you have left over can go.on a narrow band boost gauge so it looks like its boosting high

He's going for a full tune up job though I think I remember reading, I'll probably be going for a new turbo, a 16t. Has anyone got an approximate power figure you'd expect to get from swapping from 13g to 16t? Can't imagine many people do this, just buy a T5 instead lol

I fitted a 16T to my AWD, and white injectors. Then remapped it myself.

(then had to fit another gearbox and angle gear sleeve, and now another cylinder head gasket)

LOL, you have to be committed to these AWDs!

To be fair the gearbox/sleeve went before I did remapping, its a common failure on the AWD systems the splines in the sleeve round off, unfortunately it took the splines off the gearbox too.

Head gasket has been done 3 times so far on mine, the last one didn't work, something wrong somewhere so it has been retired for a while.

Mine doesn't have it's prop in at the moment as the centre rubber bearing is screwed, the rest of the AWD system is fine as far as I'm aware.

Did your car behave noticeably different after the turbo swap and did you come into any difficulties doing the swap?

First of all my quote from hlm was for a off the shelf map but because its also ME7 its more expensive, just checked the price and quoted £495+ £150 for extra tuning/roling road time.

16T is a straight bolt on job, you will notice more mid range and it wont be as gutless top end of the rev range. Your ECU will adapt to the larger white or blue injectors without a remap. I personally dont see the point in getting a remap untill you have done the turbo and injectors at least.

Rica quote 40bhp gain as do MTE and BSR.

I looked into this and the 940 props look similar with a centre UJ and a bearing after them. In fact I have a pic somewhere which has a sort of evolution of the propshafts into ours.

Top end yes, as the 13G runs out of flow at the higher engine rpm/pressures. But not much as I had already been running an MBC which really changes the car.

When I fitted the white injectors I noticed it used more fuel so I put my originals back in until I changed the injector settings in the ecu.

Swapping the turbo is easy as its the same model family and I just swapped the CHRA and compressor housing over by undoing the centre clamp.

Not sure but think blue injectors are a different impedance to the whites. White injectors have the same impedance as the red injectors in the 2.5 LPT. Not sure what effect this would have though.

    Ah, here it is.

You can see the UJ one end changes to the CV type joint which is fitted to our AWDs. The next step would be a CV joint at the other end.

if i remember correctly the whites flow 350 and the blues 365 at 3bar pressure, its the greens that flow a lot more @ 495 if i remember correctly.

Also interesting yours used more fuel also as whites made mine more economical lol
