    Mid-bass driver grille fitted up

Ducking in and out of the rain this morning, I managed to form and shape the door pocket mod to take the speaker grille.

Quite pleased with it to be honest! The vinyl I scrounged from a Polish office chair factory I visited in January is a pretty good match texture wise but slightly darker. The fact that its low down on the door means it does't show too much. Nice and stretchy so formed around the curves really well.

You can see where I need to cut away the plastic of the door card to give me a clear circular hole to clear the path for the speaker; I'll do that when the damn rain stops!

Now the fun starts with the making of the actual speaker mounting to the inner door skin. Probably going to be a back plate mounted to the door with an mdf ring suspended on dowels in the correct position. Then an old tee shirt stretched over and stiffened with acrylic resin prior to fibre glass reinforcing.

Just need the rain to stop now!

That thought has crossed my mind many times......last time was when I was refurbing a set of callipers off my old 200sx.....

I dont think there's anything wrong with it so long as all the loose crap is off of whatever you are cleaning......

I don't think I would though.........unless she was out for long enough to run the cycle a few times to get rid of the smell of Gunk!
