    17" R 'style' alloys - will they fit a 2001 PH2 V70?

    Hello all,

saw this listing on ebay, assume these are not genuine wheels, as they are listed as R 'style' wheels, but also notices it does not list the V70 for my year in the fitment range.

    Does anyone on here know?

Anyone bought from these people before......?

Thankyou gents - I carried out a forum search, and it would seem most replicas do not seemed to have caused any issues.

It would also seem that most people are after 18's as opposed to 17's?

If I were to get a set, I would then lok at getting the Pirelli's swapped over from the current wheels - apologies, I do not know the name of the wheels, but they are in the pic below, and they would all need a refurb really, are they in any demand at all on the second hand market, anyone a rough idea of value without tyres?

Just trying to suss out how much it would in theory cost me to buy a new set, swap tyres, and then what I could conceivably get back for the factory ones.

Don't think you'll get that much for your alloys without tyres mate.

Thanks for your reply GC, guess I could get a set with budget tyres, and then have them swapped across, and then sell these with the budget tyres perhaps.

Another question, I have been scouting around on ebay and t'internet, and have seem different offsets, including 42, 43, and 45 - all for these replica R wheels.

Does anyone know what actual offset I would need?

They all seem to be 7.5" wide if that helps.

As a guide I bought a set of Columba T5 alloys with good tyres for £80. last week.
I think any of those offets will work, you're only looking at 3mm difference.

Ok, so I e-mailed the seller, and when I asked where they were made, he just said Taiwan, so I think I am goin to give them a miss.

Another question for you though, they were listed as Hyper Black.

Autostyle wheels on ebay again, seem to list their replicas in either Silver or Hyper Silver.

Can anyone explain what the Hyper Black and Hyper Silver are?

I would prefer a more grey/anthracite wheel than bright silver if possible.

I have e-mailed Autostyle, but am yet to get a reply.

Hi Martyn, yes I thikn so - your saying the edge that faces outwards is a different shade to that on the inside of the spokes?

Out of interest, on your gorgeous R, do you know what finish those wheels are classed as being?

These are called Ameltheas and I've seen them sell individually for about 80 quid. that may be the way to go, people often want a 5th alloy
