    Outside temp gauge intermittent?

My outside temp gauge seems to be showing inaccurate readings, last saturday it was showing 13c which was about right. I stop the carand pop to the shops for 15 minutes and when I get back in it is now showing 0c and the little snowflake symbol is now on! Over the next 30mins it slowly crept back up to about 11c.

Its done similar things a few times now and I'm wondering if its a common problem?

Could it be related to the fact that my odometer display disappeared off the DIM? I know this is a common problem but it happened about 3 weeks ago.

that's ok, the temp reading could just be the sensor but the fact that your odo disappeared, says that the cluster could be in the early stages of failure. Give the cluster a firm push top then bottom, see if anything comes back or gets worse.

Ironically the odometer disappeared as I was on the way to a local indy and he had a good prod around and tried a few spares he had in the workshop but none were compatible, apparently rarely they are. I'll give the unit a good push and see if it remedies anything.

Where is the sensor located? Maybe its worth giving it a clean.

The sensor is the little bump on the underside of the o/s door mirror.
