    Unhappy 855 t5 Playing up

Ok My car has been reving up more and more between gear changes, So i cleaned the idle control valve, didnt make much difference, if any thing worse.

Now my temp gauge has also started to play up.

Car rev's high on tick over, and doesnt like accelerating hard, thinks its on choke.

    codes 123 (temp sendor)

Going to be changing this asap, hoping it will sort everything, have put another used idle control on and it seems a little better.

    Will keep you all posted.

Gav I had a merc 190 wiv revving up probs and nothing could do about it and then a couple weeks later I had to recover it broken down.Turned out to b a fuel pump relay, basically when the relay is on its way out on them the revs start playing up.Just wondering if that happenes on these cars aswell.

Try a temp sender and thermostat, if its sending the wrong temp to the ecu it will be overfueling.

did my temp sensor as well when mine threw up a simlar thing a while ago made it start up so much better when cold and much better idle...think it was £15 or so..
fuel pump relays common on the 740/940 range as had one go on 2 of my previouse cars and cleaned/fixed for someone once on a forecourt garage as well but havent had a 850 relay go on me as yet but always a first time for everything..

    Thumbs up Cured

Well changed the temp sedor, that cured the fueling and gauge.

There was a Air leak that had been there for ages, The Large pipe from idle control to vac tree.

I squeezed it when it was ticking over high and it reduce the rev's. could also here the air escaping.

Cut the pipe back and hey presto Cured!!

Car now absolutly fly's the best it ever has done, been leaking a while i think.
