    Business Project. Barn Find.

Got offer a car that could not be refused. I didn't have enough money to get it. But...it was CHEAP and way to cheap to pass up. It was trailered from the barn to a mates workshop for a quick look over. Spoke to a good friend (you know who you are) and got it. We did a deal and off we go. This has to be done within 6 weeks. Its coming to me on Wednesday.
Its a PERFECT road/track car. I also have a chance (maybe) of getting a slightly bigger carb and wild camshaft for it, the wont be installed but included in the eventual sale so whoever gets it can track day it properly!!!!

    Work needed....
Rewire the ignition switch (I found the car in a barn and now wish I'd taken a picture or 2 of it where I found it) as some toe rag tried pinching it. smashed the steering lock and wrecked the ignition wiring. Need to install a switch and start button.
    Replace 4 engine mount bolts.
Clean it from top to bottom.
Tart it up to give it the visual attitude it deserves!!!
    Thats it!!!
Register the car as road legal. (register pack on its way from the DVLA)

Car was built 18 months ago and has only cover 120 miles.

    Tiger Avon Sport.
Running a tuned 2 litre pinto engine.
    Spax adjustable coil overs.
    New tyres all round.
Built from new or reconditioned parts.

All the build paperwork is there.
All the doors roof etc are there.
    Its 100% complete.
Just needs loving and bringing back to life.

Again, this is not strictly mine, money that bought it is on loan and as much as I'd love to keep it sadly it will be sold ASAP.

Both myself and mate (suppose he's now an occasional silent partner) agree we dont like the colour so it'll get painted. Shade of what colour not 100% decided yet.

These kind of things dont ever happen to me, this one did!! Just when a result was need here it came. Lucky me for finding it, being able to do the work and most importantly, lucky me for having a great friend who trusts me enough to give me chance!!!!!!

If it were my engine choice, a lightly tuned SR20DET from a Nissan 200sx would do the job! An easy 300bhp which would make this thing a speeding bullet!

is the engine a standard 2.0 pinto? if so and your prepared to spend a bit of cash on it you can easily achieve 180bhp quite cheeply as well, if you need any advice on this engine mail me, i built a 2.3 version with full race alloy head running a rejetted 38 dgas webber revved to 11300rpm and produced 280bhp cost me a fortune to build that engine tho.
