I think that any repair should be 'roadworthy' even if you know you shouldn't do a trackday with it in the current state.

It's just rather unfortunate all around and a good job everyone is OK. Just shows it's always worth being 'on the safe side' when it comes to car maintenance.

Lesson learned, move on etc... I really don't think Frankie would have taken any 'blaze' risks with his daughter in the car, it's easy to say someone should have known better with hindsight so lets give the guy a break and commence with the friendly banter about steering in 2 directions at once etc

    I wouldn't call him a muppet.
The question i have is why did you drive a car that you knew was unsafe?
Was it a cost saving exercise as i wouldn't call it a mistake because the car was not roadworthy?
I’m glad that everything turned out alright for both of you and you lived to tell the tale. Some people don't.

Imagine a different scenario to this and another car was involved, I think frankies insurance would have walked away from it. Very lucky

This thread has descended somewhat so I have closed it. Those of you who have a problem with the way posts/people have been dealt with then please use the correct channels ie pm admin or moderator or use the contact us button.

Frankie your post was removed due to it being reported, Vikings was neither reported nor was it a direct insult. He asked if he was the only one who thought you were an idiot for driving the car in what was deemed as unroadworthy.

No one is moderated due to friendships, the moderation as has been stated before is fair and across the board.
