    Jesus!!
I had the wishbone on an Alfa 33 snap on me years ago, but the wheel just came straight back against the arch, none of that horrible sticking out at a weird angle thing you had going on! Glad to hear there was no serious outcome, maybe a battle scar or two (on the car and the driver's seat....)

Am i the only person here thinking you are a total idiot frankie? You drove a car with your daughter in at 70mph with a bodged suspension repair putting your lives and everyones around you at risk? And then brag about your superior driving skills, more like superior idiot.

Is this car you are currently trying to sell? In which case what other bodge jobs have you forgotten about?

    Unbelievable

He's got a point. Glad everyone got out unscathed and the car is relatively ok but I cannot help but think it was a tad self inflicted if indeed you did know about the incorrect bolt.

Frankie, it's nothing personal, but Viking has a point. You ultimately caused the issue by the repair not being done correctly, it's totally understandable (given snow / 14h days / etc) and I don't have anywhere near the mechanical skills to even attempt such a job myself, but still, that's why the car fell apart.

I'm just happy that everyone was OK. Cars can be fixed. There's a learning point here, I've certainly taken one from the story, so thank you for sharing it.

I think at this point as I havnt already mentioned it I must point out that the bolt in question was the bottom arm retaining bolt. When removing it sheared off and a "temporary" bolt was put in its place simply so the car was a rolling shell once more.

This is in no means my fault for carrying out the work as Frankie was made aware it needed changing asap.

He made a mistake in that he forgot about it, yes it could have ended much worse, but its not like he did it on purpose.

Jeez, have you never made a mistake before???

Now now kids - Rich has a valid point & I am sure Frankie is not going to make the same error again. Luckily no harm - no foul - this time.

As the inaugral member of the Volvo Air Squadron - I know that poor judgement costs. I just pray that Frankie learned his lesson, pays the dry cleaning bill & will not be so daft again.

he may have a point, but he made it in totally the wrong way imo.

Did he slag you off when you made a mistake and rolled your car??

its Not a slagin match, every body makes mistakes so more major that others and as said people learn from there mistakes also liam wobbly crashing his car has nothing to do with this.
So lets leave it at that theres no need to be bickering amoungst yourself

I'm not having a go at dave, just saying that he once made a mistake and crashed his car. He knows that and frankie knows he made a mistake.

Everyone makes mistakes in life, we just hope that we are lucky enough that we come out of them ok and that we learn from them.

Theres no need (and no point) in the way that viking commented. He could have made his point in a more sympathetic way.
