    Aircon problems..

Hi all, Ive had my 1995 854 for a couple of months now and knew when I bought it that it didnt blow cold at all, so I thought I would have a look at it today. All the relays and fuses are intact and the light on the aircon switch goes on and off, so I thought I would check the pipework, there is absolutely no pressure at all in the system, (pressing shraeder valve) no gas...Is it worth getting re gassed up or will there be a major problems because its been empty so long?
I know there is a lot of evap probs on the forums, is there any other things to look out for...

    Cheers.

Had mine re-gassed by 'Autotune' at Hedge End near Southampton. Have to say they seemed to know their stuff and the service involved an additive to relubricate the seals as the system was left for so long.
Nice and cold when it kicks in

When i had my aircon serviced they put a sealant in and a dye, First they had put it on a vaccuum test to see if it was holding pressure,
No point in having it gassed if you have a hole in the system.

apart from a vacume test they should pressurize it with nitrogen. sometimes a leak happens under pressure but not under vacume. best to vac it overnight to ge all the moisture out too

Aircon Lights flashing on and off means the airconditioning ecu has stored a fault and the code needs to be read to determine the fault. Also if the gas is low then the aircon compressor will keep engaging then disengaging... i would pull codes out of ecu b4 doing any remedial work otherwise u might just waste yer money.
