    Front Air Duct

Maybe a stupid question but the front air duct on the V70 has a piece of thin metal with a screw in it held up against the radiator, the air instead of being allowed to flow straight into the duct has to come from the side behind this metal piece.

Can i modify this part of the duct to make a slight performance difference so the air is forced straight in when moving or should i not touch??

I've never had one on mine, and never had problems, its there to stop any water going up the intake.

Yes, i have just removed it today ,it was well and truly lodged in there, but now a free movement of air can get at the duct.

    Thanks for the help.
