    Smile induction kit help ???

    I want to fit a induction kit to my 1996 850, but the MAF is built into the air box lid, so if I fit this:

    then the induction kit do you with it will work without any problems

    I bought one off ebay stating a good quality but only lasted for 200miles

    maf unbolts with 2 torx screws and has a big o ring which makes it a bit tight but does come out ok

    U fit the MAF between the filter and metal pipe using a short rubber pipes and clamps.

    p.s. them cheep standard induction kits wont be the same size as my filter

    Y don`t u separate it wiv a flat plastic or something from the engine heat?U do know u actually loose up to 10% power I thing `cos of the heat.Easily done mate.

    not on a 850/v70 it isnt..

    or as seen on mine..see the 2 small holes on the maf thats where it fits on the air box..

    The airbox lid really does pull off the maf housing, 2 torx screws and rip the round thing out of the square thing. then just put the air filter straight on the maf and let it rest on the bottom half of the airbox...

    Don't waste money on the metal tube from K&n

    Just because I like this pic...

    Very true on a n/a car but do uou realise how hot a turbo gets no matter what filter you have the air will heat up tremendously that's why we have intercoolers some like them some don't

    I got the standard t5 fresh air pipe from the front to my cone filter(which is a K&N bought secondhand for the pricy sum of £10) and seems to be fine
