Mid 13's is ambitious in a FWD.

I think I've only seen S40 T4's get to that level with serious WHP.

Don't forget that Dean's 854 manages close to that, with a respectable level of bhp

Deans 850 is running the same power as my v70r and has a 13.49 so is obviously achievable in a much lighter saloon

So how do you explain the difference in your 1/4 times and mine? Baring in mind we've had this weight discussion and there isn't as much as you'd like to think between an auto 850 saloon and a manual V70R and that mine only has 230hp which is less power than yours... Before we even visit the fact that yours is a superior manual and mines a lowely auto slushbox and I still have working air con..

you try to get the power down in my car its impossible, if you look at my torque curve it comes in very high very early so its only in 3rd it stops spinning in the dry and finally goes, and to be fair i have only ran at santa pod once since having the power it has now and i only picked up a few times before i left, i forgot to pick my last 5 runs up of which one was against a 335i and i beat him, so can only take my 14.51 time as my best, and remember dave is running 301whp and still only has a 14.5 time, its the heavy motors we drive

Frankie, the weight of the cars isn't the reason that wobblys car doesn't really get moving untill about half way up and remember that smithy has done a 14.2 in a v70 before.

If you can't get the power down with those 19s on then you really need a proper lsd.

Although your turning the s70 into the track car aint you.

smithys v70 had a t35 turbo on mate and did 110mph terminal so that tells you alot about v70's weight and getting them off the line

Its not the weight, your v70 is similar weight to the rover you had last year and you managed a very low 15 in that, with a lot less power.
