Peak figures do not tell the whole story. For a kick off you need to include the RPM where the peak figures occur. You look for the thread with the Escort with 400 odd horse power - only to find that it has a peak torque curve fo 1200 rpm, which is about as pointless as broken pencil for a forced induction car.

However even with that to one side - The biggest issue is that these figures are gathered from different days, different conditions & different dynos.

There are too many errors for this thread to be meaningful.

Results from a dyno day shoot-out would be the only way to know for a proper comparison.

yes mate but you have the correction value for that too.the best dyno is a hub dyno and they only listen to whp too.i use the same dyno for all my tuning so i can see the different on what i do to the car.but i still think that whp is the figuires i believe too many problems with drag loss for flywheel figuires imho

Just a thought - would it be worth adding best 1/4 mile terminal speed too ? could be interesting to compare that to WHP

All i done mate was fit the 16t, refurbed oranges, decat, me7 mani and filter, down to the mapping mate its amazing what you can get with a few tweak's all my rr figs have come from HLM rr so i know where i stand each time, also as ive said before that map is still on Hamish's files so im sure he would sell copies, there is about 15 runs stored to prove results and belevie me it went like the willies sometimes i wish i hadnt pulled it apart and done what ive done but im nearly back to feeling the boost
