Just wondering - if you are going to all this trouble - why you sticking with the 16T? Why not take the logical step & get the 19T - or is it just that the budget wont stretch?

I did not know that the 19T was the logical step

Well then we are in time - given that this is just the design phase. Would you be interested if we (as a forum) could locate the item. I have a local contact/friend/former T5 owner in Halesowen who often travels to Denmark (not that the shipping is a major issue).

My Betsy has been dyno-ed over 300bhp. You can use standard internals & GB to do that. I am not certain you can get to 300 on a 16T & certainly not without some custom remapping.

All the v. quick cars are using 19Ts or Garretts. Don't get me wrong the 16T is a very capable blower.

I would recommend putting the 19T on now - even if you don't map it up it will save you money having to do it again later. price difference in the UK is not that big.

Remapping is obvious...I have 2 16t. if they can be exchanged for a 19t it would be great.

    http://www.stealth316.com/2-3s-cfm-maps.htm

Marginal higher flower rates for the 19T

    15g 428cfm
    16t 435cfm
    18t 485cfm
    19t 500cfm

10 cumecs (cubic metres per second) = 212cfm. Arguably not much but again its down to the do it once do it right principle.

It really depend's what you want to use the car for mate?? i ran a 16t with similar mods to you and for get up and go you could'nt beat it...268WHP/456nm, if you drive the car hard at high speed's often then yes go for a bigger turbo but i think with a good map you will be happy with the 16t and better of money wise contact HLM and ask for a copy of my map im sure it would only cost you £150(ecu exchange)
