    Introducing my V70R.

Well I thought it was about time to put a couple of pics up, ive had it for 8 months now lol.

I'll go from the start though as this car has been a pain and joy in those 8 months!

It started with a search for a saffy v70 manual FWD with low miles (which I couldnt find in my 4 month search). I found this one in the end and although it had the wrong colour interior I decided to jump on a plane (yes you read correctly lol) to go and see it.
I had a good chat with the guy, seemed genuine and usually I am a good judge, not quite this time.

it had quite a few parking dints etc although apparently it was really straight.
the cambelt diddn't need doing apparently, not on mileage but it was over on years grr.

not one to give up easy I bought the car and drove the car 330 miles home.
The engine and gearbox are brilliant but the ride wasnt quite right so I decided to start at the ground and work up ( not good for a car I paid top money for lol )

So what I have done in 8 months are:
Cambelt and water pump plus aux belts
2 genuine lower arms from volvo
2 rear axle bushes - volvo (ball ache)
tie rods ends and boots from volvo
4 sachs shockers and some KW lowering springs (rear nivos were so screwed it was unreal.. fronts wernt much better)
new top mounts fron and back
    hunter 4 wheel alignment
    dent correction and fresh paint!!
    US indicators
ususal strut brace and poly bushes
    XC grill
    full wheel refurb.

To be honest things wernt that bad just one job led into another, rack boots need doing so done the rods and ends etc..hopefully this means many troule free miles.

Also I have made a start on the interior, dash out to paint the part nearest the windscreen etc (ball ache)
I made custom door cards and changed all the beige plastics,
eventually I will change the seats / dash / steering wheel although I can live with it for now.

If anyone comes across the parts please give me a shout.. this project is on going lol!

next on the list though is a proper exhaust.

She now drives like new alothough I could have easily bought a P2 v70r lol but I do love the early ones.

I have plenty more thing's to do on her as its now a good base for some upgrades, not sure how far I will go though as it is a car for my family.. we will see

now I have intoruced the car ( and bored the crap out of you )I will be coming to some meets, shakey/pod etc to say hello !!

Lovely looking car and I really quite like the 2 tone interior. It's almost like a different take on the R design colours used by Volvo now on the modern models.
