Got a cracked sump is it a expensive job what does it require thanks

New sump, oil filter, oil and some sealant.
That should be it...

I've never taken the sump off whilst the engine is still in so I can't comment on whether it's an easy job or not. I think the oil cooler pipe is in the way.

You dont need a new sump, take the old one off, clean it, weld it, refit.

Very true.... I was just thinking of what I would be capable of doing myself with a couple of spanners

Abt 30 mm lower

I've changed one on my 850 in situ, not a very nice job., I also have a couple of spare sumps if you need one.

where about in Manchester are you, i come up quite often to see family, and i use Robert from Trevor Burges near Hyde, he is very good with all Volvo problems, and i only use him .
Maybe we could have a mini meet like they do elsewhere.
