    opions please

Hi all,I'm just after ideas, dont want to start another debate

    I'm running a 19t,orange inj,3" tb,K&N induction,FSE fuel reg,lightened flywheel,quaife diff,R clutch,cossie fuel pump and above standard size air intake and boost pipes.
I have blue injectors ready to go in.

the main problem is the boost, need to get to 4500 before it kicks in????
    maybe oversized pipes?
    maybe a mapping issue?
    maybe a fueling issue?
is it because the PTC is no longer "plumbed in"?

should I go back to standard size pipework?
and go back to a standard tb?
do I put the blues in?
should I go for an MBC?

    any ideas,gratefully received

    JT

Is the wastegate fully closed mate? As if it was adjusted incorrectly it would take a lot more revs to get boost. Also are you 100% you dont have a boost leak?

I doubt bigger pipework would cause the extreme case you are describing. It would just have slightly more lag.

    What's a PTC?

Try the mbc to override the bcs and see what happens

Surely it would still boost though at actuator pressure minimum. How could it not?

Stick the blues in cos you may be short on fuel at the top end then get it mapped to suit However, that won't cause the problem youre describing. Sounds like boost creep (w/g opening early and not allowing the turbo to spool up soon enough) try an mbc or tightning the actuator.

yea, I would go with winding the actuator in, to see if that makes a difference

Cheers for the all the comments

Forgot to mention running TT ! Lol
    How could I forget that??

When the boost comes in, it comes in at 1.2 bar, which is where I need it (regs)
The car had a rip kit on it as standard, I've just put larger pipes in its place.
    I'll try the actuator first

    Cheers guys

    You may well be right
I do need a mapping session , cos it was set up on the side of caution
to help running in. We just turned the boost up afterwards.

That's an awful map then. The standard rods can easily take a bar at low revs so why have no boost until 4500! the lowest boost you can run is the actuator spring pressure regardless of map! So having no boost below 4500 there is defo a problem not associated with the map.

standard actuator pressure is only about 3psi (15g actuator), the boost is then raised via the ECU & BCS

I know that mate, So why does he have no boost and not 3psi? Surely if it was map related he would still have at least 3psi at about 2k rpm

oh sorry mate, I thought you had zero boost. Could be an issue with the Mapping then, BCS, actuator, boost leak. First thing i'd do is override the BCS with a MBC. If problem goes then It's mapping or BCS related.
