    Yellow brake pads?

My other car appears to have yellow brake pads, does anyone know if there are any pads out there, other than the ebc yellow stuff, that do yellow pads?

    Cheers.

I have Pagid Rs29's (yellow pads) they are excelent. I tried EBC yellows last year and had to bin them because they felt woody. Sometimes they would it stop my car.

I remember that from when i had ebc pads on my t4, but i can't see any writing on them, bit dirty though so may say something under the dirt.

I have some EBC yellowstuff pads in, they do need to warm up before full braking is achieved (cold braking is still good) but they work well (I do abuse the somewhat, I have to push very hard before they start to fade) and are low dust (unlike the genuine volvo ones).

According to EBC greenstuff isn't recommended for the Volvo, probably because its a bit heavy.

But, I know they do make them to fit!

Mapped V70 D5; EBC Yellow stuff ended up in the bin only 1/4 worn. Just too inconsistent when hot. Now running Volvo Police spec pads have have done for a few years. DS2500 very good a well if you need a bit more.

I tried EBC yellow stuff in my 'R' they were the worst brake pads I have ever tried. Sometimes they just wouldn't stop my car. I binned them after about 3000 miles.
I would only recommend Pagid RS29's, Carbotech XP8's or DS2500's your brakes are the most important bit on your car, if you don't stop you won't have a car left

Don't worry mate, seems to me like pads can vary from car to car.

I'v had redstuff before and yes they do take a bit to warm up, but when they were warm they were excellent, just as good as the ds25s i'v experienced.

Just FYI, when my brother had DS25s on his 200sx they were excellent when warm but when they were cold they were pants and took longer to warm up than when i had DS25s on my car.

Whatever "performance" pads i'v had, they have always been worse when cold than standard pads. Because of that, i have always warned people if they were going to any of my cars, that at the start of the journey it will seem like it has sh*te brakes. lol

I hope they will be fine, because my yesterdays experience was really horrible.
Was coming to the roundabout and as the brakes were getting hotter, braking was getting worse and worse.
At the end of that there was no braking at all.

I'd get the brake fluid changed as well then.
