Engine Bay Paint

Hi guys, found a lot of good info on here about engine bay cleaning tips, but i can't find ay recommendations for paint for the rocker cover?

going to sand it down at the weekend and tidy it up a bit (as well as the front bumper scuff)

Whats a good paint to use? i take it that i can't use normal paint as it will melt off?

I used standard paint and its still going strong 4-5 years later you will need to get a isolater and plastic primer etc to do the job rite

Forgive me, whats an isolator??

Also, do Volvo do plastic coverings for the rocker cover which i could use?
