To get Frankie back on the road I decided to pop over to Illford on friday to remove an M59 with him from siamblues old car.
Really nice to catch up with you again Gary.
Today 6am start and 9pm finish.
M59 Removal and Re-fitment plus a new single mass flywheel and clutch.
With the help of my mate Joe (rockheadrumble) we managed to get everything back together again bar the clutch bleeding and the top intercooler pipes re-fitted as we ran out of brake fluid.
What a pig of a job though, the M59 shafts are a pain in the bottom, the wishbones wouldnt separate, many bolts sheared off and the gearbox decided to double collar itself and needed two collars hacksawing off whilst wedged off to get it seated correctly.
All is though a productive day and nearly finished... Frankie the rests up to you mate!
Oh and you make a nice brew

Jorney home:
The journey back was awful, many stranded motorists and it took little over 4 hours to do 85 miles.
The car however in "Winter Mode" never was faultered. Even made it up a 15 degree gradient just outside home making tracks for other stranded motorists to follow in.
She did get a little hot however as the intake was full of snow so needed a top-up and a good cool down.
