Yes seems to be a common problem. I think myne could be on they way out.

The garage managed to release the bonnet by the normal method. I asked how they did it, as I'd given up on it, and basically they have a better technique or are simply stronger than me!

Once opened, they lubricated everywhere that they could, and it now opens easily. So basically, if yours is becoming harder to release, then lubrication is the answer. Await the rude comments.................
