    i'll never be that drunk mister lol, you aint beating me this year davey boy already got a 14.51 with a bootful of tools an amp and a 12" sub, spare wheels and 7 seat conversion, ask pamdam he saw the lot lol, prepare for defeat (evil laugh)

    Could well be up for this, never done a 1/4 mile run before, but I'm a dab hand at 0-60's.
    Are crash helmets required for this, and can they be hired there?

    Yes you need a crash helmet & full length sleeves. Bought mine 2nd hand for 15 quid off ebay, cheaper than hiring one.

    you can't hire them there mate and you need trousers and sleeves, ( sweaty in the summer)

    Thanks for the info guys, just a couple of helmet related questions : Firstly which is better open face or full face, and are there ones specially for cars, or are they the same as bike ones?

    Open face tend to be rarer. I'd prefer open face. I am using a bike helmet.

    i dunno why we need helmets at the speeds we reach, you dont at santa pod unless your car does over 110mph at the end
