    Unhappy head lamp reflector

    hi there im coming up the dreaded mot and i know the car will fail on the headlights, the reflectors are badly tarnished, does anyone know if i could refer b the headlights myself with out going to have to buy replacement one s at great ex pence,, any help would be appreciated many thanks ged

    headlight replacment

    ok looks like im going to have to buy two new headlights, ive seen some on ebay which are not genuine volvo headlight and cost about ninety pounds, has anybody used these headlight our im i better steering clear of these, volvo one are so expensive many thanks ged

    It may be a dumb suggestion......can the headlamp unit be popped open and the refector cleaned/polished?

    Only asking as some whilae ago, I popped open a unit from my 350z to mess about with some LEDs. Ended up baking it in the oven to soften the glue and then just pulled it apart; quite easy really!

    thanks for suggestion i was thinking of doing that but in the haynes manual it says not to touch the reflector, but like you said ive got nothing to loose if it works i could save some money, thank again for your input ged
