    V50 & Ipod

Dispite the lovely centre console in the V50 I have a small issue with it. I have no way to connect my Ipod, as there is no tape player in the machine. I'm aware of Volvo's own Music Box but don't wish go to that sort of money. Is there any way of connecting up ?

Hello and welcome to the forum. Do a search on iPod and you should find a few answers which may assist - however the gist of it is that there appears to be no direct way of connecting your ipos to the new 50 range - unless you have a CD changer port and the Alpine protocol AInet unit (standalone) or the Denison Icelink (Alpine) unit works 0 however this is untested I believe from within the forum.

You could import an FM transmitter but they are illegal in the Uk.

I use a Denision Ice Link to my Sony head unit, which replaced my factory fit tape player. The CD player controls and charges the ipof, which is nice.

    Good luck.
