    bonnet stuck

    hi folks...tried to open bonnet to check my oil and the catch at the passanger side will not release anybody know how to release it, if i cant get the bonnet up, had a feel under the red handle in the car and can only feel one wire think thats the way it was though.... over to the experts please...john

    Hi mate,
    I had this on my s70, If you climb under the car on the passenger side and look up you can get your hand upthere to activate the catch yourself, its a bit of a pain, but possible,
    hope this helps

    I had this problem late last year and i did reach under neath and pulled both cables one on either side and it opened


    I said a 10 second car not a 10 minute car

    I'm sure the red handle will only have one cable as it tee's off from the o/s catch over to the n/s. Sometimes if you get someone to pull, gently, on the handle under the dash while someone manipulates the bonnet it will open if it's just a simple case of a sticky catch

    spot on andy guy in my work said to do that and it worked,heavy dose of wd40 like brand new now cheers guys....john
