identifying a Garrett

wasn't till yesterday my bro told me about a Garrett turbo he's got sat in his garage, was used on a 400bhp Pulsar. How do you know what turbo it is, do they have the plate like the Mitsi turbo's or are they stamped on there. What it find out if its any good for me before i rob it off him lol

they come with t28's but not for 400bhp though

he's got an aftermarket intercooler so don't think its the standard turbo. Even if its not as big as i want its got to be bigger than the 19t (assuming it was 400bhp), thats why i want to see what it actually is

where abouts mate, asked him to find out about it yesterday & he never got back to me. So either can't find the info or lost the turbo in his garage lol, either way looks like i'll have to go other & see for myself

I just went to have a look, and sorry, I was wrong, I cant see what type, it just has Garratt and A/R 60

if i do get/rob the Garrett it'll be stockpiled with the other bits i've got to build an engine up, then just swop the whole lump over. Even then i've plans for the 19t

Best way will be t split the housings from the core and measure the compressor wheel and turbine impellar.
