3 inch silencer

Im after a quiet 3inch silencer lol i have 2 smalls in at the minute and its to loud for me lol does any know where i can get or have any links to a 3 inch bore silencer im after a cylinder type shape as well

At the minute i have x2 250mm silencers so there only small and loud lol.I went passed a copper in his speed car this morning and he wasnt bothered lol

is that to loud for u or missus? police dont seem to bothered when they see its a volvo roll past as they know its not gonna be owned by a young boy racer and its proberbly looked after...they do the same round here with saabs as well as we got a few modified 9.3 and a 900 turbo with a straight through zorst

Hi Jay is it legal though lol i only have the 3inch cat back at the minute with 2 250mm silencers i dont think there long enough to dull the sound and im yet to build the front lol.Would a car pass an mot with no middle silencers lol.I set off from the traffic lights early this morning from a round about i had the police speed car on my right hand side and a riot van in front of him i pulled away and he didnt seem bothered in any way.My missus says she can hear me coming round the corner lol easy and knows its me which gets me worried

should still pass as long as emmisions are met and no leaks and dont look like its about to fall off..

I believe it can fail if the tester deems it to be excessive loud, but, at the moment they don't have decibel meters.

Hi Paul i think i have it sorted mate Claymore has shown me an insert off ebay that will reduce the exhaust noise.Oh ive also heat wrapped the exhaust aswell

I have put in another thread, my mate has the inserts in his Nissan 300zx, and, they don't seem to do anything!

Try them, but I think your find adding another silencer is a better idea

Hi Paul ive answered in the other thread lol ,im hoping it will dampen the noise abit better than it is now lol and if it does need another silencer it would be even better.It can only get better though even if i used the silencer thing.Did your mate notice any difference at all though Paul

Maybe a decibel or 2 lower, its still a noisy t**t

If i was to add another silencer it would have to be another 250mm jobby as there isnt alot of room to play with as it is lol
