You will need the software, buttons etc , its not going to be cheap at all.
At a estimate £250 for the software.

Not as easy as buying the fascia with the heated seat buttons and plugging it in then?

Wish it was that easy, I actually removed my heated seats as Volvo's do have little issue of bum, burning

I suppose you could get the facia, and make up a standalone latching switch, running directly from the battery?

They also have three settings that are adjustable via software only. Low/Medium/High. This is additional to the normal Hi/Low switch on the dash.
If your seats are or were to hot then you just need to pop to the dealer to have the software changed to the lower setting. Then you won't burn your ass!

Mine is on Medium. Perfect!! Lo is a nice comfy warm glow on colder days and Hi is nice and toasty without being too hot.

spoke to taggart's volvo in glasgow this morning. they said that if my seats didn't have the heated seat option originally it could corrupt the car when they connect it up!

ah well think i might give up and just be glad i have nicer seats in. ;-/

Speak to MRG in Chippenham as they'll know the answer. Don't see why it would corrupt the car as it will only need the buttons and software to make it work. I'm sure other people have done it?!

thanks for the info. just off the phone to MRG. very helpful. they told me that if i took the buttons out the other car and put them in mine it will probably work with the software upgrade usually about an extra £30 ish on top of the half hour appointment's labour charge..;-))
