As you know these cars have approx 16 or so black boxes around the car which control just about every thing with the update they can fix most problems when they just don't want to talk together correctly, adjust, engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes, program heated seats temps, day time lights, rear view mirror how dark it goes,,,,,,,,,,,.
Might be worth me going in to the stealers for a 'software update' then, see if they can sort out all of these really annoying electrical gremlins that seem to be plagueing my T5 at the moment. I might get them to turn my heated seat temperatures up too because back a few weeks ago they were 'tepid' at best. :-)
Hi just to ask do you know how to see if you have any fault codes in the car.
Turn engine to on lights on dash, press read button on left hand stalk and hold on then press rear fog light switch on off 3 times quite quickly then you should get the display saying dscs set or not then let go of the read button ,then press read button to move along the list of systems .
The non Volvo readers won't read all the systems.
Just looking at all the faults your having I think most of these are power related faults bar the misfire.
Do you know any one with a dc clamp meter just to see what the power draw is when the car is off, locked with alarm on.

To keep up with the list...
- Clutch pedal switch failed (that was the root of the Cruise Control issue)
- Indicator stalk working intermittently - apparently a common one
Touch wood, nothing else in the last few months!

Yep still like it ,just need deeper pockets.
Yes - I do. Happy to have it - I'm just aware that it can decide to be expensively petulant at any moment!
I hit a rock that fell off a tipper on the M25 today and bent the intercooler grille, but I can't really blame the car for that. Indeed I am glad that the grille was tough enough that the rock didn't go through the intercooler/condenser/rad pack!
