    Anyone running an aftermarket/Standalone ECU?

I've run an Omex (500 series I think) Before and it worked great. Am I limited now because of the extra cylinder? Pretty sure it was a wasted spark system so surely if you have the right ring for the crank pick up it should work?

I'm having a Unichip Q+ piggyback ECU fitted to my T4 within the nxt 2 weeks. You retain the standard ECU, but the Unichip modifies the signals for fuelling etc. It's 550 supplied fitted and 2 custom maps. Can be removed easily too if you sell the car.

You can lose a lot of the standard features using a standalone. Knock sensors, ABS, immobiliser etc
    Grey 855R Manual. Totally standard.

Yes, if going for a standalone, you really have to look into all the features because as you have said, not all of them have all the standard stuff on them.

Think smithy is going for standalone on his car, although as he's only running 137bhp, i'v no idea why?

Smithy has got a dynojet CMD unit on his car ATM which is similar to a piggyback. I think he's very happy with it. Hamish from HLM maps it for him I think.

Smithy is running 137bhp if you only count 1 cylinder lol

You can make an Omex run a 5-cylinder... I've seen it on an 850.
