No not at all, most populous colours are olive green in t5r and red in 850r.
Black and yellow are roughly similar in numbers on the t5r estates, but black is least common t5r saloon.

This is volvo material I'm talking about, wiki is just not accurate.

"It states 5500 were produced" 5000 in black and yellow, this parts is fine, he then says 500 emerald green (olive green), so total 5500.

I have a copy of the data sheet he is using which is in ref to 1995 production numbers, 5000 obd1 yellow and blacks produced. The problem is that there are obd2 t5rs in yellow and black, showing that his numbers are not accurate for 1996 cars.

If you check at the bottom of the wiki page, then you will see that the references are very spurious and not from sources I'd trust more than the dvla or people who can actually provide info on over 250 t5rs (chap on voc).

But currently olives are twice as common, I personally don't mind olive greens.

Also it could be said that the above is total rubbish as its says that the uk received 69 guls.

The dvla data show that there where over 113 on the road in 2005!

So there must have been a lot more produced that the 5000 quoted on wiki.

I traced the origins of this spread sheet back to the original poster and found out how he got hold of the information, so I know it came from the dvla

Volvotips have the same info as Wikipedia...

    http://www.volvotips.com/index.php/850-2/t-5r-and-850r/

The original production planned 2.500 cars but the car was a big success so 5.500 T-5Rs (saloons and stationwagons) were produced: 1.975 of them were Cream Yellow, 500 were Dark Olive Pearl (green) and 3.025 T-5Rs were painted in Black Stone.

They are getting rarer daily, if you check how many left, the numbers are about constant 320 t5r / 850r

    140 / 180 split,I like the exclusivity
