    Angry 1999 v70r awd

I've got to replace the Cat for my 1999 V70R AWD auto. I cannot find an aftermarket to fit it. Been to an exhaust specialist - nope. Now looking at a new one from volvo. £600 just for the part. Why is it so rare / hard to find parts for this car? My indie volvo specialist doesn't seem to know a great deal.

My engine code is B5234T8. I think the part no is 9022122. Does anyone have any advice please.
    Thanks.

    Hi Buddy,

I think the Part number you need is

BM90883 / ring 01623 663800 BM catalysts, to check they will tell you your nearist stockist ie Partco/unipart

If im right you have 2 hanger's off yours just where it meets the centre.

Let me know how you get on.

Thank you. I've just been told by volvo that the part no. is 8603 004. Should that have a letter prefix with it. Plus that part no. you gave me - is that an OEM part. Everything appears to have loads of different no.s, for volvo, for the manufacturer. I'm lost. Aarrggh!

    Cheers.

i bought a Partco/BM downpipe with cat for BT, lasted 3months before it started rattling. They wanted me to pay for another one then send off the reject one for them to investigate, wouldn't buy an exhaust from them again. Ended up paying £30 for a decat
