Turning a S70 2.5 10V into a T5

Here`s a question for all the knowledgeable on here
My old man is getting rid of his 1997 S70 2.5 10v he`s upgrading to new xc90 flash git anyway the dealer has offered him a crap trade in so he`s given me first refusal

So here`s the questions obviously i know that i will need a new engine of T5 spec but what else would i need to turn the wee beastie onto a T5
Oh yes the cars an auto so may need to look at this as well

Any ideas or should i just leave it as it is cause it`s a dam nice car apart from the crappy 10 valve engine

Not sure what would be involved, but the question does come up surprisingly often, and the answer usually is -for the money it'd cost you to convert you could probably buy a whole T5...

Aye looks like i`ll leave it as it is then
Its only for the wife anyhow not bad motor only 32k genuine on the clock carpet slippers and pipe optional fvsh and lots of goodies
Only downer is its an auto and the wife hates auto`s but spose i could talk her round

Good choice with the XC90, which model he gone with?

Cant be surprised though on the trade in, what do you expect a dealer to do with it? They cant sell it themselves so would either have to find a used Volvo specialist who will give the dealer crap price as they need to make some money which aint easy at those prices and ages as anything can need fixing on it, or send it to auction so a big risk!

A whole new wiring loom would have to be put in place a new ECU, you would have to get a doaner car for all the intercooler and other bits and bobs, so it would be easier to just get a T5.
