    All power cut out

    Hello,
This is my 1st visit to the forum although a very good friend was and my all knowing volvo sage but sadly no longer with us.
I have a 04 v70 and on three occasions with a gap of two/three months in between as I am slowing down at a roundabout or junction the power goes and I have to put it into P turn off the ignition and restart which it does fine but its a bit disconcerting!
I have taken it to MRG and they said the computer was fine and did not know what it could be?
    Thanks for any help.

Does the car have an aftermarket alarm/immobiliser fitted?

Maybe a job for a specialist auto electrician, but as the problem rarely happens it could be difficult to diagnose.

Might be worth resetting the ECU/ecm, unplug the battery for a few hours (you need the radio code if you have the original stereo in it) This can often sort minor problems.

Also slightly dodgy car battery can play havoc with these cars. (Had weird issues in the past). If your batteries getting on a bit it may be worth getting it checked and even proactively replacing.
