    Auto filters

Going to try and change the oil in the auto box shortly, is there a filter in there somewhere that'll need changing too?.

I've always been told that the Filter/s in a Auto box cant be changed as they are "built in" as such. Im sure you could If you fancy stripping the box down...nice job...Not !!

In fact it would be good to see the Inside of a Auto Box if anyone has one laying around. Then we will know what these filters are all about.

ps: Changing the Oil is really quite easy. When i done mine, i just followed the Haynes way.

Filter is internal and not, as such, a service item like an engine oil filter. That said if you went to a specialist I am sure they could do it but they'd probably advise doing other work, i.e overhaul, while in the area due to the complexity of the job.

I read somewhere that the box relies on the viscosity of the oil to work properly and when changing the fluid, it's a case of 1L out, 1L in run/monitor it, 1L out, 1L in etc.
Don't take my word for it tho, If I can't stir it with a stick, I'm not that interested lol
