Thats the main thing to know, the lower the cell the more free flowing it'll be. Some go for 200 to be on the safe side, others go for the 100cell which, as long as you keep the engine in good nick and make sure the fueling is ok, should be fine.

If you take the cat out and leave the rest of the exhaust standard they sound quiet but nice. I just took my streight through pipe off, was too loud. Sounded great when your in the mood for a blast but I wouldn't advise it, was a drone on the motorway.

As said previously the lower the cell rating the more free flowing it will be. 100 cell cats can give problems on mot and sometimes need to be quite hot to pass emissions but should still pass with persuasion and perseverance from your mot tester. I opted for a 200 cell cat to be safe but also because there's not much to separate the 100 and 200 cell cats compared to the standard cat's restriction and also taking into consideration the possiblity or grief of an on the spot roadside emissions test and explaining that the cat has to be really hot to pass. You might laugh at the roadside emissions testing and think it only applies to lorries etc but a friend of mine had the unfortunate vosa roadside test in his modified Toyota Scarlet and they're not forgiving but they're few and far between and my luck would be that I'd be the one who was unfortunate to get the car spot checked so I've taken the best precautions I can..

If you ever do want help with the fury kind, or even want a cat, let me know as we have about 13. So many that I'm not sure how many we have without counting them. I can bring one to the Morecambe meet for you. What colour do you prefer?
