going to look at a 2000 c70 drop top in the morning that the wife is looking to buy me for my birthday as she knows i really still want one and get to keep the saffy gt. bonus

however its a 2.5 turbo, is this model a low pressure turbo or can anyone say what bhp it should be?

its manual if that makes any odds

know what to look for regards engine etc as learn't loads owning mine but best way to check everything else?

I believe they come out around 193? I was always put off by the scuttle shake reputation they have - but I hear so long as you don't put anything bigger than 17s on then it should be fine.

Be good for the summer. One to look out for are the "Collection" ones - the swan song trim version for the rag top.

As wobbly says keep it on 17's (preferably light weight) and it will really 'flow' better.

With a strut brace too and some TLC it should drive well.

190 bhp but you'll get a bit more fairly easily with a remap, it will not be a proper 'T5' without a fair bit of work so if you hanker for the T5 version.... maybe drive one first before making your mind up.

after looking at .18 soft tops in total a deal has been done on a 03 reg model, its a 2.0 lpt model but the wife is not bothered about performance she wants the looks with roof down etc.

its done just under 70k full history, comes with fresh mot, and tax, new oil and fliter as only done 200 miles since last service

i'm not happy as she gets , jewel headlights, comet wheels, egg crate grill , wonder if she notice if they just swapped onto mine one day?

That's a smart looking car, like the eggcrate grill and comets!
