    Cracked wheel - V70R

I noticed yesterday that I was losing air on one of of the wheels.

Took it in this morning to find that the alloy has cracked, due I guess to a pothole.

On the way to the wheel repairer I called Volvo to find out how much a new wheel would cost:-

£600.00 less a couple of quid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fortunately it has been welded and repaired.

How can they justify that price?????

I am now considering importing 4 from IPD, as a set are about £450.00 plus tax and shipping so I guess around £800.

If your talking pegs then there was a guy selling copies on EBay for about 450 a set, but that was a good while ago.

Back in 2003 (?) myself and another long gone member managed to import 10 genuine 18'' Anthracite Nebulas from Houston Volvo for less than £100 each all in. UK prices were and still are an utter disgrace especially considering the wheels were made in Germany imported to the US and then flown back to the UK!

You might be better getting a set from this ebay seller in Germany.

Genuine Volvo and probably about teh same price as ipd.

Pretty sure Dooby bought wheels from this guy a few years back and all was ok.
