hi guys just got back from my mates garage ,,,, and its NOT the bottom end , its the head its been starving rear bank of oil and in turn ive got 2 stuck tappits ,, sooooo if anyone has a good head and can get it to me `,, for as little money as poss i would be eternally greatfull ,,,,

ive got 2 mate. Both still bolted to the rest of the lump. Ones done 132k and absolutely no smoke or nasty noises. The other done 154k. That head is a little suspect of popped head gasket.

I guess it's good news you've found the problem quite strange to hear the head has been starved of oil. Didn't think these suffered with oil supply problems I guess the engine oil level was ok at the time? Might be worth doing an oil pressure check on the engine once you've done the head swap.
