Think ive sorted it.My mate gave me a t5r turbo and i assumed the t5r actuator came with it.when i gave it beans not alot happened. So i took the actuator rod off the wastegate arm and it was level with the nipple also the nut on the arm was a little slack. So im assuming t5r actuator has been taken off my turbo and replaced with the std one.Arnt the t5r set at 11psi?i think this is set at factory 8psi.Any way ive turned it in a full revoloution and it pulls a hell of alot better now.Im gonna get my gauge on it at week end to double check what im producing.

Good to see you've got it sorted.

Yes they do wear out, they become loose/slack and your boost could drop and/or could be inconsistant.

I think, as a very basic rule of thumb, you need to pull the rod out about 4mm to hook it onto the w/g lever. (that's how I set my 16t and its lovely n pokey without the ME7 throwing a benny!

If you can move it with one hand without too much effort - it's ££££ed!

What do you mean with one hand lol i can feel the spring loaded tension.i think the actoator was messed about with,What i meant was i could take the actuator off the nipple and just slot it back over with out pulling the actuator out 4mm like martin said.

Wind it in a bit (when you get your boost-o-meter on) and see where you are. sounds like it needed a pit of extra pull on the rod.
