What do you rekon the weight difference is between the 850t5 saloon and the s40 t4

Difficult to know what weight is accurate, as different sites, etc, have different weights.

I think the s40 t4 is about 1295kg from memory, but i'v seen numbers range between 1255kg and 1375kg.

The 850s are pretty light for the size, less than 1400kgs.

People think that volvos are heavy cars but for the size they are actually pretty light. My s70 weighs about 1450-1500kg, but an e39, a6 or e-class of the same year are a fair bit more than that at around 1600kgs.

Rofl.I was just comparing thats all.I used to have a t4 and std it was 13psi before i tune it up a bit.Anyway at 13psi say 200 bhp that was quick but the t5 is i think 225 std with i think 8psi.May be its the weight of the car holding the power down or i need to turn the boost up lol.Im putting the boost gauge on at weekend so i will no more of what the car is making.I did the engine conversion from a 2.5 n/a auto to a t5 manual. The t5 engine has been stood a while and my boost soloneid is from a breakers.Yesterday the T5 wasnt really doing that great but i think its begining to wake up or so the boost soloneid.Might sound daft maybe im still used to the t4 lol.

The t4 is the faster car, the car weighs a fair bit less and the torque is only slightly down on the 850t5.

Never realised the T4 is so light... no wonder it shifts with 300bhp!
