Bearing in mind that the Jetex link is +VAT, it's cheaper here:

I can vouch for the quality, fit and sound of the Ferrita but must be honest haven't seen or heard a Jetex in action. I'd like a Miltek but they don't make them for our model years unfortunately.

You will free up the top end and reduce spool time more with a downpipe than a cat back so yes - there is good value in a nice map and full exhaust. You won't get the same gain in performance from £600 on a downpipe as you do from £600 on a good map so it depends on your budget and how much poke you want.

Cheap one will work just as well. Can get a second hand front pipe and system for about £150.
I've got the OBX system on which is a good fit. Just got to modify the front pipe a bit.

Plus import taxes, duties, and handling fees. Add another £100 easy, quite possibly more!

Going back to the downpipe I posted above from ebay, it says this.

"Please note that this down pipe eliminates the factory emissions system so you will not pass emissions tests with this part installed."

    Is that right?

Still think it's a good price, but not sure if it's any good.

From the looks of it, there are fittings for both of the lambda sensors.
One is usually before the cat and the other is either on the cat or after it, so no, it won't pass the emissions test with this sytem fiited.

They can very, i had an obx downpipe (for 850/s/v70) and it was just the dp, so you would fit a cat yourself.

If you have a good custom exhaust place nearby, go have a chat with them. It may be cheaper than you think.

Place near me could do a full S/S sytem, 3", with 100cel race cat for about £600-700, depending on how much of a bugger the dp would be to get off.

both over priced in my opinion. £100 for a full sysem is a lot of money. i built my 3"100cell down pipe for less than £100 but i did manage to get the cat very cheap off ebay. its prob not the best build ive done but it was done in my breaks at work so it was rushed but it dose the job. im going to build my self another one soon. just waiting of some funs clearing then im getting my self another tig set. same with my exhaust that was built for around £150. ive built a few systems now for my t5 but i soon get sick if the noise and sell up.

fitting the 100cell cat was the best thing i did. this allowed me to go stage 2. but i wouldnt be spending £600 on one

i used make all sorts when i was into the mondeos. had allsorts on the go and made a good name for myself but in the end it kind of took over my life. money was great but i couldnt keep up with demand. it wasnt so much the welding and fabrication that took up the time it was the chasing up suppliers for not delivering profiles when they said they would and thing like that.

but like i said earlier i am getting another tig set and will be building a few bits and bobs to sell on( i kind of miss having the odd little project). if youd like id build you a 3" sports cat. id have to price up materials and get the stainless flange machined so the exhaust gasket sits inside the flange. the quality would be a lot better than mine. that was built using off cuts i had lying around. i would never send anything like that out to a custermer
