Hi
I cannot find any reference in the manual.
Do I have a cambelt or a chain, and when should it be replaced?
Thanks

It's a belt, Main stealers will charge abot £325 to do it, My local indy charged me £183 with a 2 year warranty.
I think it's 60000miles but I'm prepared to be corrected.

Or better still find the maker of the belt supplied to Volvo and buy it from them.
Volvo do NOT make timing belts. Goodyear, Gates, Dayco, Continental, Optibelt and I'm sure there are loads more.
A 'genuine' Volvo belt will be one of the above in a box with Volvo branding. Like 'genuine' filters and 'genuine' brake pads.
Volvo's warranty liability extends to the labour to change the part ONLY if the part is declared faulty by the dealership and changed there . . .
