I too had a 600 with the psa sourced diesel and it was a very good car. I bought it at 100k and did 20k in it before parting company and it cost nothing but 1 service and discs and pads.

Rover did fit the 130hp (ish) BMW diesel engine, and it was pretty good - just the company itself that let the side down.

Which Audi do you drive now?
True. I though the 620 Ti was a great car. Better around the corners than the C70 T5 and it was faster to 40mph. After that, the Volvo would have drifted away. One of the best cars i've owned actually. I still sort of miss it. Clutch and gearboxes on them weren't strong enough for all that power sadly.. Hence it died...

My new motor is an Audi A4, 05' plate. 3.0 TDI S-Line Quattro. It's got around the same Bhp as my mapped C70 T5 had and goes round the corners alarmingly quickly. It's not as comfy as the C70 but it feels very solid and is extremely well balanced. I never planned on getting a performance diesel but I couldn't resist this one after a couple of test drives. It dragged my old Volvo up Dundry hill (Bristol) to the metal scrappers. I was a little worried about it struggling but it didn't really feel like it was dragging anything at all..!

Rover weren't the best of companies. That said, I don't really respect many car manufacturers at all at the end of the day. I'd have another Volvo. I nearly bought an 06' plate C70 T5 but i've had two Audi's before and they were really good solid cars. My old 90 Quattro did 209,000 miles when I gave it away. Rattling on now..

Steve, my dad bought a new 1989 Audi Quattro coupé 2.2 10v. He handed me the keys in 2002 ish at around 135k. Unfortunately I was young and short sighted and sold 6 months later for buttons because it needed some work - I just wish I could have had the patience to keep it and hit 200k in it.

That looks like a newer model to me. Maybe my brain is failing me. Good solid German car. Great Quattro system as well!!
