    S60 Service Light Reset - Without tools!

    Please follow the below information if you wish to remove the service reminder in the instrument panel of your S60.


    The below instructions are for S60's without a trip computer

    1. Turn the ignition key to position I

    2. Ensure that the trip display is on T1 and shows some miles (not zero).

    3. Press and hold the T1 reset button and wait for the odometer to set to zero.

    4. Turn the ignition key to position II, and watch the odometer.

    5. When the previously displayed miles reappears, release the trip reset button.

    The below instructions are for S60's with a trip computer

    1. You must Have miles on the trip i.e. not zero

    2. With Ignition switched off

    3. Press reset and hold down odo reset button.

    4. Turn ignition to position 2

    5. Wait 10 seconds and service light should start flashing

    6. Release button within 4 seconds of light starting to flash.


    And thats it, your service light has been reset without paying volvo for it to be done.

    Thanks for that, so when does it come on though ? I mean how is it triggered, time or miles or both ?

    I don't know that to be honest... i will suspect it will be both whichever is first i.e. 12k miles or 1 yr.

    I have just reset mine so can confirm it does work.

    As i get my servicing done at an independant dealer its a nice little trick to know as he doesn't have vadis.
