    Unhappy 850 T5 Chip --> V70 T5

    Hi guys,
    I need some assistance please, I have bought a V70 T5 to replace my broken 850 T5, and am just about to start transfering all the bits off one to the other, My question is about the chip,
    Can I just take the chip from the 850 and put it into the V70?
    If anyone has pics of the location of the chip too that would be great as it was fitted when I bought it and therefor I'm not entirely sure where or how to do so?!
    Any help would be great! Thanks in advance!

    Matt

    No.

    The 850 will be have ME4.3 engine management, the V70 will have ME4.4. They are not interchangeable.

    Oh damn, that might prove a problem., even though they are both p reg's? excuse my lack of knowledge in the matter but i need to make sure.
    Only reason I'm asking is I've seen kits compatible for "T52 1994-1998 for 850s, V70s, C70s etc eg.

    When odering that kit you would have to state which car you have, and you'd get that compatible ECU.

    Yosser is correct you can't interchange Motronic 4.3 and 4.4 ECUs.
    Factory White 855R : 2.5 Bottom End : Ported & Flowed Cylinder Head : TD04 19T Turbo

    You'll see in that kit in the link you posted that you have to call them to make sure they supply the correct bits.

    I'm happy to be corrected, as I certainly don't know everything about model diffrerences, but I'm 99.9999% sure these cars will have different engine management as per my first post.
