really happy for you em, looks like youve dropped on a cracking deal there, well done done mate.
with ref to the turbo, my R (dec 97, same as yours) v70r only has a 16t with whites, and 280 front discs, so i think your gonna be happy that you didnt get shut of the 18t, told you it was meant to be mate.

Cheers for that mate, I was unsure whether they were whites or blues fitted. I know it will be a 16T for certain which is an excellent start I guess.

Assuming it is ex police there may well be 302's already fitted, if not I still have the discs and carriers for the 302 conversion in the garage. As Liams R reg S70R is straight flange I assume a T5 of the same era will be too.

    I know!

It amazes me how these yanks manage these times? Why ever can the likes of Frankie and others never break the 14's? Its all there, makes no sense.

I think its definately ex police although an SE spec ex fuzz? Its a merseyside registration and I discovered that Northumbria Police had a traffic S70 with almost identical reg.

This one is R822JFT and Police R826JFT!

Im not fussed either way just interested to know the history, if its ex poliec would be great to get a picture like martinpreachey of it in full livery.
Let me do a bit of google-ing!

    Haha... possibly.

13.7 or 13.0 both very respectable times for a 70 series car running that spec I think. If I remember correctly it was late last year early this year.

Assume what Liam? If reffering to the brakes not fussed either way as I have a set spare. I assume its basic SE spec and anything beyond is a Bonus, I do know the police specs had uprated firmer suspension though.

Nice one Emlyn! You couldn't be the flying moose without a moose! What a car to relauch your Volvo career Look forward to your updates as they filter through and if it ends up looking half as good as that white one it will still be epic!

Regarding the straight flange, it should be straight but you never know with volvo.
