Looking at it on the way to work today I'm sure it's sitting somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 on the boost gauge. But I'm sure it's been over halfway previously :/
If it's the Volvo boost - o - meter, then you won't go very high anyway (not very good the volvo ones)
Noise wise, I know what you mean, with a standard pipe, they're not supposed to be loud, they're an executive tourer after all. Mine's almost silent when cruising. It's when you open her up and get that lovely 5-pot roar that only a T-5 makes, coming up through the floor. Always makes me smile

I know what you mean sounds lovely when you want It to. But the rest of the time it's completely silent.

Ok then, guess I'll have to give a proper boost gauge a go to see if anythings up

Get that huge silencer removed (and replaced it with a small box if its the only one), so it makes some proper noise.

Looks like the boost level is about right for standard. If you get yourself a remap you can enjoy and "out of the white section experience" seeing videos like this keep making me feel like filming mine. It goes a little out the white section these days

Well, I noticed oil on the driveway yesterday and sure enough when I looked underneath my car I could see the back end of the sub frame covered in it. Pulled the dip stick out and sure enough out came white smoke

So today I got the PTC out which wasn't necessarily blocked but was definatly full of crap so I cleaned that out and put it all back together.

I also changed the hoses from the turbo control valve thingy as they all looked pretty knackered and I already had half the stuff around it out of the car, and the air filter as that didn't look too clever either.

Anyway, took it out for a bit and came back and there's still smoke coming out of the dipstick so I definately need to do the PVC, which I kind of knew anyway as I found the plastic pipe that goes from the top of the oil catch tank thing round to the top of the PTC was snapped in the middle under the foam outer layer anyway.

If I keep driving this to and from work until I've done the PVC am I going to do a lot of damage or will it be alright for a few days?

you could blow the RMS (rear main seal) if its blocked too bad, which is a gearbox off job & as you know that aint fun. If you can get away with not driving it then i'd leave it until you change th PCV

nice car young man. Go easy in it. For sure lower it a little. I'd take a look at the turbo's actuator, boost seems a little low to me. Tighten the actuators arm 3 or 4 turns, should tweek the turbo.

I forgot to say we fitted an R suspension at the weekend, which has lowered it a little

Also got a proper clean (couldn't get a good picture though it was too dark)

Just pull the PCB pipe off so its venting to air that will buy you time till you can do the pcvu

As james says Sam, unplug the main (large) pipe which connects to the PTC nipple and vent the system to the floor.

It will be ok to drive either way, however best changed as soon as economically viable.
