Went down to Eastbourne with my brother this weekend to catch up with some good friends who we know through the Volvo Owners Club (Kerry T-5R and MarkT4) had a great sunday drive and found some excellent country pubs for refreshments along the way, of the soft variety of course, managed to get a couple of shots as well. Tried to get a shot of my brothers on the move as it can produce some very impressive flames, not what you'd expect from a Volvo, but couldn't time it right or hold the camera straight for long enough so missed out which was a shame. Anyway here is a small collection of shots I took along the way.
For those of you who don't frequent the VOC the 854 T-5R is a manual with a Quaife diff, he also has JCViggens full front mount, it's huge, and his reverse intercooler piping along with Gaz Gold Coilovers, my god does it shift and handle, and a full 3" JT exhaust system. The S70R you will recognise from here and the S40 is quite something else, it's running a full stand alone engine management system known as Vipex it has been mapped by Mark Shead, the same guy who mapped mine, and has a Ferrita cat back system and cat bypass along with Gaz Gold coilovers and a Quaife diff, the engine is the later 1.9 T2 T4 engine which has been stripped and rebuilt with uprated rods and a few other tricks it is still running a 14G but again it handles and shifts and the owner is looking to upgrade the turbo to something a little more special in the not to distant future. All cars performed well and I think it's fair to say all had a good time, just a shame we can't have nice weather throughout the year in the UK...
