Dilemma... What to do?? (Bumpers now done)

I've got fed up with looking at the scabby front and rear bumpers on the car now and as they are by far the worst parts of the car I need to do something about them. The front is littered with stonechips and the paint on the top of the rear bumper is cracking and needs attention...

So do I have them rectified and repainted in the same colour as the car as they currently are or do I have them flatted back and repainted but have the bumper tops done in a textured finish as they were originally? Only reason I ask is I quite like the colour coded tops as the standard finish dulls and goes off over time plus with grey body work I think they look good painted. On the other hand it's not a standard look for the car and that's something I like about cars.. Subtle mods whilst not detracting from the original look.
Before you suggest it no im not going to fit 70 series handles and no I wont be painting the side mouldings... So what do you guys think, stick with the colour coded look as they are now or go back to factory textured grey plastic look?

on a dark coloured car you can get away with the colour coding, on light colours it just looks like they couldn't be bothered to mask them up

In my opinion i think you should keep them standard it would spoil the lines of the car otherwise, try photo shopping the pic in your sig then we can all vote

Don't get them texture painted as it'll look odd and won't match the original finish, if you want the original finish then you'd have to get new bumpers...I'm afraid. Personaly I'd just get them re painted.

They're already body coloured in grey, the picture in the sig is with them painted as it was like it when I bought it, that's how normal it looks with them painted

If I get a side on view can someone do a photoshop for me as I'm useless with anything like that.. Lol

the crap grey parts on the bumpers are by far and away the worst looking thing on an 850, i think the colour coding makes an 850 actually look nice lol

i think the original look is best a colour coded 850 is just wrong but do agree that the darker cars kinda get away with it,,,

Here are a couple of shots of the car which I think will be best for the experiment it's been lowered and i've changed the exhaust since they were taken but it's the same otherwise do which ever you think would be easiest

Can I also be really cheeky and ask for the spoiler tip to be changed to black in this shot?

    Thanks in advance

I'm gonna have to leave this one to you TC, I can't save the image

EDIT, Gotta say Andy, the car looks stunning as it is and personally I can't see it looking any better with original trims.

Personally Andy I would have them Re-sprayed in grey again. The look the dogs on your car and if I had the cash I wouldnt hesitate to have mine done the same.

Your simply making your R unique and personal to you and there is nothing wrong with that.

Cheers guy's. Spoke to the bodyshop today, going to try and get it into them next week, just got to decide for certain what I am going to do but it's likely I'll be staying completely colour coded unless the anyone can photoshop the pic's and make me change my mind..

Good job there TC, but I still think colour coding is the way to go. Andy, if you want me to have a go at the side view, PM me and I will reply with my email address as I still can't download the pics.
